This section displays information about the validators, and the election process. An Everscale validator is a network node that participates in the validation of generated new blockchain blocks. A group of nodes is selected as validators for a certain period of time (validation cycle), during which they jointly participate in validation.
Validation is the signing of blocks by multiple nodes in order to reach consensus (common agreement) on the correctness of a block. The consensus procedure itself is necessary for the network to function reliably, i.e., to resist individual node failures or deliberate attacks. In fact, validators provide the basis for the functioning of a decentralized network.
They are remunerated for their work. It is distributed each validation cycle to all validators in proportion to the amount of their stake (weight) - the deposit required to participate in the validator election and subsequent validation. If a validator has made a stake of 1% of the total stake, his reward will be 1% of the total reward.
In the upper block you can see the current status of the validation cycle: current election status, election date, and total stake bonus EVER of all validators and this round.
You can also toggle between the current validation cycle and the next validation cycle.
Below is a list of the validators participating in this round.
They are arranged in rank order. A validator's rank is determined by its weight - the percentage of the total staked EVER of all validators in that round.
