Validators

EVER Scan validators section

This section displays information about the validators, and the election/validation cycle. An Everscale validator is a node that participates in producing and validating blocks. For each validation cycle, a group of nodes is elected and jointly validates the masterchain and shardchains.

Validation means multiple nodes sign blocks to reach consensus on their correctness, allowing the network to remain reliable even if some nodes fail or act maliciously.

Validators earn rewards for their work. Rewards for a cycle are distributed approximately in proportion to effective stake (weight). If a validator has about 1% of total effective stake, they’ll receive about 1% of the cycle’s rewards (net of protocol parameters/penalties).

Validation cycle

The stats bar at the top shows:

  • Elections period — start/end of the current election window

  • Total stake (EVER) — sum of effective stakes participating in this cycle

  • Total bonuses (EVER) — total rewards accrued for the cycle

  • Elections status — e.g., Open / Closed

Use the tabs to switch between the Current cycle and the Next cycle.
